Kambalam - The Rug Project
Kambalam” - a Craft Design Project with Flat woven rug (Multicolored crossbar effect rug) weavers in Bhavani, Tamil Nadu in the southern part of India. The craft of Jamakkalam weaving is an ancient handloom weaving community and this being one of the craft clusters of India that needed new design development. Home collection of Rugs, Floor cushions, Stools, and Poufs from the ancient well known craft of Jamakkalam weaving. On filed hands-on experience with hand weavers of Bhavani, Tamil Nadu.
